Things between Cardi B and her soon-to-be ex-husband and rapper Offset seem to keep going from bad to worse. And this latest update is just further proof of that.
As we’ve been telling you, the two have been going back and forth dragging each other’s name in the mud since the very first utterances of him cheating hit the social media streets nearly a decade ago. Their latest jabs at each other came in the form of their respective albums, “Kiari” and “Am I The Drama,” in which they both can be heard looking back on each other’s faults. All of that preceded the birth of Cardi’s fourth child, which she confirmed she welcomed with boyfriend and NFL star Stefon Diggs less than one week ago.
Now, however, it looks like there’s drama surrounding the newborn child thanks in large part to some gossip blogs and Offset’s online behavior. In particular, a blog published a headline that alluded to the Migos rapper still potentially being the father of Cardi’s latest bundle of joy due to a technicality under Georgia State law. Per Complex, that law basically says that the husband “is presumed to be the legal father of any child born during the marriage, regardless of biological paternity, unless formally challenged in court.” However, the true father of the child can take legal measures to prove that he’s the legitimate father.
Once the headlines began circulating on social media over the weekend, they finally caught the attention of who took to his Instagram stories to poke fun at theme in a since-deleted post.
“My kid lol,” he wrote simply.
Naturally, his words didn’t land well with Cardi and she subsequently took to X/Twitter to air out her issues once again with Offset and urged people to take what she was going through seriously.
“Y’all be thinking it’s so funny and it’s not… it’s been over a year and I’m still being harassed and threatened to the point that I feel like my life in danger,” she wrote as captured by TMZ.
She continued: “MF’ers do anything for attention and it could get real nasty with just one upload… LEAVE ME TF ALONE.”
As additionally noted by Page Six, Cardi then hopped in X Spaces to further address Offset, explaining how she was growing weary of the harassment and combatted rumors and online talk that she wasn’t taking care of her children. She also alluded to her husband of being responsible in some way for the blogs taking aim at her and expressed that she was concerned for her safety.
“I’m really tired of getting harassed and when I get harassed privately and I ignore [it], that’s when I start getting harassed publicly,” she said at the time. “I have every single receipt. If you wanna keep sending f–king blogs to harass me — like, I can’t take it anymore.”
She added: “I’m really starting to be concerned… I can’t take this anymore. I don’t bother nobody. Leave me the fuck alone.”
