For years, the race between Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. for the dumbest Trump offspring wasn’t a race. In fact, it could’ve. been argued that Eric Trump was about to lap the field when Trump Jr. yelled out, “Hold my coffee,” and ran to the press to exclaim that his dad isn’t racist because he’s hung out with rappers. Well, what do you know; just when you thought it was all locked up!

In an interview with the Daily Caller—what is the Daily Caller, you ask? I have no idea, but it reads like a white supremacist rag had sex with a communist propaganda pamphlet—anyway, LeDon Don Jr. sat down with Ginny Thomas—who is Ginny Thomas, you ask? Well, she’s the wife of the black-skinned mute on the Supreme Court, Clarence Thomas—to claim that his father couldn’t be racist because he’s got photos with rappers and other black celebrities.

The interview didn’t just show LeDon Don Jr. trying to close the distance—although, let’s face it, Eric Trump still has trouble doing three-digit addition, so the race is never going to be an even match—but it also reminded us that Ginny Thomas is a fucking weirdo with right-wing leanings. Thomas asked LeDon Don, “What do you think about the left’s efforts to frame your dad and anyone who supports your dad as a hater, as a racist, as a fascist?”

LeDon Don Jr. explained:

I spent this on the campaign trail when it was so obvious that was sort of the game plan. You know, ‘We’re gonna smear you with racist, fascist, whatever. The real problem is those things exist. Certainly, racism exists, but if it’s your response to any argument you can’t win, you actually do real disservice to those people actually afflicted by it.

Thank you, LeDon Don Jr., for acknowledging that racism exists, but I think you forgot to acknowledge how you perpetuate racism by being a .... well, shit heel.

Trump Jr. continued:

To those people who are actually oppressed and hurt by real racism, real sexism. So if you use it every time, what really happens ... as people hear it, they roll their eyes and they move on because they realize it’s nonsense. In this case, the problem is when people who are actually affected by it say it doesn’t matter anymore. It’s lost its effect because it’s been numbing to people. You can only overplay your hand so many times before people start calling your bluff, so it’s actually doing nothing on the positive side of being able to promote that as a real issue.

For those of you not versed in the “I’m totally a racist, but I’m going to show you how nonracist I am by acknowledging that racism exists only to minimize racism” handbook, this is move No. 234 in how to dilute racism by claiming that racism isn’t racism because it’s been said too many times. It’s also known as the “Rachel Dolezal is not a black woman but braids women’s cornrows on her front porch” theory.

But in a classic move from the David Duke manual on how to urinate on the lawn on a black man and get away, Donnie Jr. pulled out the old tried-and-true, “My dad can’t be racist because he has photos with the blacks.”

“And what it’s doing, on the other side, is it’s hurting those that are actually afflicted by it, so it’s been terrible to watch,” Trump Jr., age 40, said. “I see, I know him [the president], I’ve seen him my whole life. I’ve seen the things he’s done. You know, it’s amazing—all the rappers, all his African-American friends, from Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton—have pictures with him.”
