If you’ve spent any time on X in the past few years, you’ve likely come across posts from Dionne Warwick. The Grammy Award-winning songstress has become just as famous for her quick quips on the social media platform as her string of hits with Burt Bacharach. From the Coldplay kiss cam scandal to ginger ale as medicine, Auntie Dionne has thoughts about everything, and she’s not afraid to share them with her nearly 570,000 followers on X.

Minding the Business That Pays Me
When a clip circulated of a white woman side-eyeing Warwick while she was singing, folks were dying to get the backstory. Warwick seemed unbothered by the woman’s glare both then and now, instead focusing on the beautiful gown she was wearing.
“Was minding the business that (literally) pays me. I loved that gown,” she wrote on X on Nov 14.
Weighing in on the Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal
Warwick was one of the many people who weighed in on one of this summer’s biggest scandals, when Astronomer’s CEO was caught cheating on his wife in the most embarrassing way – on a concert kiss cam hugged up with his mistress, who was also the company’s Chief People Officer. When the news broke that the CEO was planning to sue Coldplay after the scandal went viral, Auntie Dionne had questions.
“I don’t believe that’s how accountability works,” she wrote on X on July 29.
Get It Together, Drummer
In July, Warwick quote-tweeted a video of a church’s first lady doing a serious drum solo with a hilarious warning for her own drummer.
“Sending this to my drummer and telling him he’s on thin ice,” she wrote on X on July 28.
“I’m About to Have Breakfast in Europe”
Dionne Warwick may be 84 years old, but she’s not ready for y’all to put her in the ground just yet. Back in April 2025, she responded to a post from someone who mentioned that one of her coworkers thought she had died years ago.
“I am about to have breakfast in Europe. I think I might be alive!” she posted on April 10.
Ummm, That’s My Song
Dionne Warwick’s hit “Walk On By” was released before many of her social media fans were even born. However, when one person suggested that Chloe Bailey’s performance was a cover of “Paint the Town Red” by Doja Cat, rather than her 1964 hit– which Doja Cat sampled– Auntie Dionne was quick to correct them.
“I think I have a song that sounds similar to this,” she wrote in an April 2025 post.
This Doesn’t Make Sense
In February, Warwick had no problem calling out President Trump for naming himself Chairman of the Kennedy Center board just because he doesn’t like the programming.
“We can just do anything now. I like @pepsi. I think I’ll become CEO,” she wrote on X.
How’s Your Love Life?
Dionne Warwick has no problem giving interviews, but some topics are simply off limits. She shut down one interviewer who asked about her love life, responding “it is.” In a May 2025 post, she confirmed that ain’t nothing changed.
Looking Like a Snack
When someone asked to define ‘aged like fine wine,’ Warwick responded with a picture of actor Morris Chestnut, leaving some fans to wonder if Ms. Warwick doesn’t mind going after younger men.
“Shoot your shot auntie,” wrote someone in the comments.
Please Mute Yourself
For everyone whose ever been on a Zoom call with an annoying person who just can’t seem to figure out that the rest of the participants don’t want to be forced to listen to their background noise, Dionne Warwick sees you.
“If you know that you are supposed to be “on mute,” why are some of you not doing so?” she asked in an August 2023 post.
Ginger Ale is Not Soda
If you grew up with a Black mother or grandmother, you already know that ginger ale is a cure-all for stomach ailments, not something that you order with a burger and fries. And Dionne Warwick is here to remind us of just that, calling it “medicine” in an August 2025 post on X.
“Pair with a sleeve of saltines, the soaps and price is right,” cosigned someone in the comments.
Clapping Back at Piers Morgan
When Piers Morgan accused Beyoncé of cultural appropriation for a Levi’s ad, Ms. Warwick told him to stay out of grown folks’ conversations.
“Getting involved in women’s business again, I see…” she wrote in an August 2025 post on X.
Leave Me Out of It
Ms. Warwick’s followers love her hot takes, but there are some topics she doesn’t want to weigh in on. When someone suggested she would make shrimp waffles illegal, she suggested that getting online might have been a mistake.
“You deserve respect some people get on here to argue and be silly,” wrote someone in the comments.
