As the divorce between Jeezy and soon-to-be ex-wife Jeannie Mai continues to play out in the court of public opinion, new information may have just shed new light into what may have led to their uncoupling and what hurdles they might be facing as it relates to their nearly two-year-old daughter, Monaco.

In new court documents obtained by TMZ on Friday, Jeannie has alluded to possible infidelity on Jeezyβs part in her attempt to amend her counter-claim against Jeezyβs divorce filing by adding other βgrounds for divorceβ. While her lawyers didnβt want to specify exactly what those grounds were, in later language, it becomes crystal clear and looks to have a major effect on their prenuptial agreement:
βWife further shows that the Court should enforce Paragraph 8 of the Prenuptial Agreement regarding infidelity which provides, in pertinent part, that in the event that either party engages in sexual relations, an emotional relationship, or is emotionally or sexually suggestive in communication with a third party via all forms of electronic communications, including but not limited to texting, sexting, Facetiming, social media and/or Direct Messages, shall result in a significant financial penalty upon the adulterous party.
This news comes just one day after Jeezy claimed Jeannie is acting as a βgatekeeperβ to their daughter and asked a judge for a hearing to set βclearly definedβ parental rights and βaddress temporary custodial arrangements,β according to court documents filed on Thursday, according to People. He cited both βthe present long-distance nature of the partiesβ co-parenting of the Child and associated difficultiesβ and the fact that their initially agreed upon visitation schedule for this year has become βincreasingly less feasible.β
While Jeezy doesnβt believe Jeannie is allegedly βgatekeepingβ their child with malicious intent, he said that her alleged actions make it hard for him to exercise βparenting timeβ with Monaco.
People has more:
βThe lack of consistency, continuity and stability inherently associated with such a haphazard and fluid parenting time schedule is stressful to the Child (Monaco), and it has, as is unfortunately inevitable with all families in transition, created unnecessary tension and confusion regarding not only parenting time but also in regard to each parentβs role and rights when the Child is in their respective custody,β the document states.
In the filing, Jeezyβs legal counsel states that while the βSoul Survivorβ artist βdoes not believe that [Mai Jenkins] is acting maliciously or with specific intent to harm,β he does suspect that she βhas acted as a gatekeeper when it comes to [Jeezy] exercising parenting time with [Monaco].β
He alleges that the former The Real co-host is βcausing confusion and tension between the parties and is working to stifle the developmentβ between Jeezy and their toddler.
Itβs Jeezyβs hope that the custody hearing would βserve to protect the Childβs welfare, reduce strife between the parties, and help move this case to a final resolution,β as stated in court documents.
