Cardi B and Offset are once again heading towards divorce. According to her repβs confirmation to Page Six, the βBongosβ rapper filed for divorce from Offset on Wednesday. The rapper is reportedly seeking primary custody of their children as well, and is βnot foldingβ this time.
Cardi and Offset share two children together, their daughter Kulture (5) and son Wave (2). The outlet confirms that Cardiβs main focus at the moment is βobtaining primary custodyβ of their children. According to sources close to the outlet, the divorce is βnot a surpriseβ to Offset, as the two have been, βtrying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now.β

As The Root previously reported, this is not the first time Cardi has filed for divorce from the rapper. In 2020, Cardi first filed, reportedly happening after rumors of infidelity on Offsetβs side. At the time, People reported that the relationship between the two was βirretrievably brokenβ and that there were βno prospects for a reconciliation.β
The two eventually did reconcile months after she first filed, as The Root reported. In November 202o, the divorce was dismissed βwithout prejudice.β Since then, the two have remained together but not without rumors and hiccups, with Cardi often taking to social media with cryptic messages surrounding outgrowing relationships and putting herself βfirst.β
Earlier this year, however, it did seem as if the two were still working on their marriage, as they were spotted on a date night just this April. But now, Cardi is reportedly focused on, βmoving on.β
βShe has no ill will towards him,β the source tells Page Six. βSheβs wishing him the best. Sheβs not going into this next season [of her life] with any beef or any drama. She wants everything to be very peaceful.β
