As we previously reported, after Angie Stone’s shocking death from a car accident in Montgomery, Alabama, Twain wrote a heartfelt message to her on his Instagram that also expressed frustration at the people who had taken advantage of her when she was alive. However, this time around, he is choosing to focus on the love he has received from supporters and opening up more than he did previously.

In a series of videos shared to Instagram, Twain shares moments from D’Angelo’s funeral, and other videos show the musician sitting by himself reflecting on what his dad meant to him.

“Knowing about your father, knowing your father’s history, and knowing where he comes from and really getting an understanding of that s*** is like monumental,” Twain spoke to the camera. “When my momma passed, I kinda sat down and went to hide. I’m not hiding this time… When my mom passed, it left me with a lot of questions. After this funeral (D’Angelo’s funeral), I gained a lot of answers… I think that’s the number one difference.”

In another part of Twain’s video, he speaks with family and friends, recounting a time when his dad spent three weeks with him in Atlanta.

“He spent like three weeks with me down in Atlanta, and any questions I ever had, anything I wanted to ask him about, like anything, we just had every conversation… it really like cleared my spirit, man.”

In the comments, supporters shared their love for him and his parents, wishing him love as he mourns the two difficult losses.

“This a strong brother and I mean that continually praying for your peace of mind and soul I’m glad you carrying this with a plan bc you know God got one for you and it’s BIG sending love and light,” wrote one user.

“Love this! Yess, don’t hide this time! Shine on, you’re destined for greatness because that’s what you came from, ” added another.

“May your parents’ spirits and legacy continue to live through you. Sending love and strength during this difficult time. Your father’s music touched so many lives, and your tribute was truly beautiful. My deepest condolences to you and your family,” added another.

Appreciating the condolences sent to him, Twain responded to his followers, thanking them for their support, and wrote another short message of gratitude in his caption.

“Thanks for all the love, support, and well wishes… the first time I said anything about it ever since…”
