Dame Dash Introduces His ‘White Lesbian Aaliyah’ Protégé and the Internet is Roasting Him For It

The Cau-casity! Dame Dash woke up and chose violence when he shocked fans by describing his newest artist as the “White lesbian” Aaliyah during an interview with “The Art of Dialogue.” Fans dragged Dash to filth over his “insane” comments related to the late R&B icon, and judging by the backlash, this probably wasn’t the reaction he was hoping for.

Dash sat in what appeared to be a director’s chair next to his artist, Nicky Licky, who was dressed in an oversized denim jacket, a cropped top, and oversized bottoms. The former co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records began by pointing out her clothes and physical figure as similar to the late superstar, explaining that she can also play instruments, write, and sing.

Well, Licky appeared painfully uncomfortable — and it’s clear fans weren’t amused at all by the comparison. 

“She has the same everything,” Dash, 54, explained, awkwardly opening her jacket to show her figure. “She has a little bit of rhythm too. But she can play instruments, and write, and sing. To me she’s like if Aaliyah was White, she’d be a lesbian. That’s her,” he pointed at Licky. 

Whew, fans ran knees to chest to the comments section, asking if the 54-year-old was “insane,” and discussing what they see as an obsession with the “Are You That Somebody” singer. The jokes against Dash were on a roll with no end in sight. 

“The obsession is actually sickening atp,” one fan wrote. “Nurse! He’s out his room again,” a second teased. “This is creepy and cringe,” a third added. “YEAAAA DAME YOU FIRED,” another laughed. 

While some had jokes, others pointed out the rumored relationship he allegedly pursued with Aaliyah before she passed, and had a mouthful to say about how the late singer pretty much dodged a bullet. According to them, his inappropriate habits appear to be resurfacing… again. 

“He is dealing with guilt. I don’t like him and I wish he’d stop trying to use Aaliyah’s brand. I really didn’t agree with her dating him. I knew as a teenager that he was off,” one user said. “Man he bout to catch a charge grabbing dat YT girl like that. Next thing she gonna be suing for 10 million for hostile work environment,” another pointed out. 

Fans continued: “What an insane thing to say — I’m actually gobsmacked! Please, allow Aaliyah to rest. ♥️ Also, it’s very troubling and telling the way he grabbed Nicky and her clothes!”

“Ummmm I’m glad he had that bandanna on because he couldn’t even look himself in the face and watch this again,” another concluded. 

At this point, it’s clear Dame Dash’s attempt to position Nicky Licky as the “White lesbian” Aaliyah has only fueled more controversy than hype. If this promo was supposed to launch a new star, it looks like Dame’s going to have to dust himself off, and “Try Again.”
