Cuteness Overload! 6-year-old Girl Prays Daily for Her Teacher To Find A Man

We just know this girl’s got a praying grandmother!

Six-year-old student Emora (last name not revealed) appeared on yesterday’s episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show to talk about her adorable prayers for her teacher, Angelique Williams.

In a viral video posted by Williams on Instagram in October ( per her mother’s approval), Emora is seen sitting at a table and breaking down the contents of her prayers for her teacher to find a husband, “Please God, help my girl find a husband, a good husband. A nice husband who loves her, that needs her. That will be nice.”

Jennifer Hudson sat next to the six-year-old and asked her why she has such a sweet connection with her teacher. In between snaggletoothed smiles and giggles, she said, “Because when she told me that she was single, I wanted to pray for her.” Williams recounted a moment last year when Miss Emora as she calls her simply asked, “Do you have a husband?” Taken aback she responded, “No, why would you ask me that?” Emora said that she thought Williams would have a husband because she is pretty, to which the teacher responded by saying that prettiness is not always what gets you a spouse.

When the next year rolled around Emora saw her teacher again and eagerly asked the same question to which the tickled teacher had to explain yet again that she did not get a husband over the break. She went on to say that Emora asks her every day if she found a husband yet and eventually has gotten to the point of praying for a changed answer.

When Hudson asked the little prayer warrior if she’s prayed for her classmates and people her age, she hilariously shook her head no. The two have created such a bond that they even have a handshake together and call each other “friends,” which Williams explains is how she likes to address all of her students. This kind of student-teacher relationship is what we love to see and is refreshing, especially at a time when so many teachers have taken to social media to talk about their struggles with schooling lately. Many people have complained that students aren’t kind, aren’t enjoying school, and are not respecting their teachers. But hopefully, with caring students like Emora, teachers will hold onto hope.
