A white conservative content creator is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Lilly Gaddis, whose no stranger to controversy, had the internet in a fury after many folks online said her Halloween post crossed way over the line. She appeared in Blackface, a bonnet and gold hoop earrings in an attempt to mock Black women. If that wasn’t bad enough, wait ’till you hear how she justified it.

Gaddis’ video has already received way too many views on social media. But rather then apologizing for the post, she got back on X on Saturday (Nov. 1) to actually defend it.
“I decided to dress up as something, the most horrifying thing I could think of, which is the Black woman, which is a person who is angry and fed up that their EBT card has been declined, that their race card is no longer working in this new climate and that they’re not receiving the reparations that they think they deserve, despite the fact that they did not build this country,” she spewed.
But she didn’t stop there.
Gaddis went on to explain that she’s on a mission to help reclaim the country for white, Christian people, adding that she thinks politicians should “pander” to them. Gaddis explained that she wants her shocking content to become normalized, because – wait for it – she cares about the country.
“I want to temper the people for that when we have a leader that has all of the messaging that we want, instead of people digging up his past that people won’t care because they’re so used to hearing the craziest things ever that a leader with our aligned views will be able to get into elected position of power without being taken down by the typical media smears,” she said.
Her rant continued, adding how, “Mass deportations will not seem so shocking if you have rhetoric like mine and crazy stunts like mine and other people out there, because the people will become used to hearing that.”
As you can probably guess, Gaddis’ post got some thumbs up from her conservative fan base. But there were also plenty of people online who pointed out the holes in her argument.
“I couldn’t make it past the part of you saying that this country was founded on white Christian values….. This country wasn’t even founded by white people lol,” wrote someone on X.
Others who saw the post were outraged that people like Gaddis are making a name for themselves by being outright racist.
“Racism has become a content strategy. People are actually using racism to build a brand,” one user captioned a TikTok. “Funny enough tho, half of the time when I see these video the person always looks nervous. Uncomfortable and unsure of themselves. Even in this clip she said she KNEW better than to go outside like that.”
But one TikToker asked the questions most Black people who saw Gaddis’ post were asking – If you hate Black people so much, why would you spend so much time online talking about them then?
“Why are you guys so obsessed with Black people? Why are we always on your minds? You know, you claim to not like us but you cannot stop talking about us, and you can’t stay away from us,” @ah2407aq said in a TikTok post.
