Singer d4vd has since canceled his remaining tour dates and delayed the deluxe release of his album after a missing teenager was found dead in his car in September. d4vd’s representatives say he has been fully cooperative as the teen’s death investigation continues, but one private investigator says he just uncovered eerie items from the singer’s luxurious Los Angeles rental home that’s raising eyebrows.

To catch you up, heavily decomposed human remains were found in an abandoned Tesla that had been parked for months, towed to an impound lot, then searched after reports of a foul smell. The chopped up remains, The Root previously reported, was that of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a 14-year-old who had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, in April 2024. The teen reportedly had a boyfriend, who her mother later identified as the viral TikTok singer, although it’s unclear if the mother ever met him, according to TMZ.
Although d4vd has not been listed as a suspect, investigators still conducted a search warrant at the Hollywood Hills home where he had been living, ABC News reported. But Mladen Trifunovic, the rental home’s owner, hired a private investigator of his own. Steve Fischer, the PI, told the Daily Mail he discovered “multiple” items “that could all be used together” to “get rid of a person.”
If that’s not eerie enough, Fischer claimed those items are something one would “never need in a Hollywood Hills home,” but would more likely be found “on a farm.”
Additionally, Fischer claimed the strange items he found inside served no clear domestic purpose, including one item that appeared to have been recently delivered to the property because it was still in its original shipping packaging.
Fischer described the items found to Law & Crime earlier this month as “sadistic” and “scary.” Prescription pain medication bottles were also reportedly recovered, plus various items of drug paraphernalia.
Controversy and speculation around d4vd’s, real name David Anthony Burke, alleged involvement with Hernandez’s death has intensified in recent weeks. His music video for his song “One More Dance” has been picked apart, as it features a blindfolded figure (implied to be d4vd) and others putting a body in the trunk of a car.
In his other notable song “Romantic Homicide,” he sings, “In the back of my mind, I killed you,” “And I didn’t even regret it,” and “I can’t believe I said it, but it’s true, I hate you.”
