Charlamagne tha God Gives a Surprising Update About Wendy Williams

Charlamagne tha God is starting the new year off right by bringing more good news about Wendy Williams.

He said as much during a recent episode of “The Breakfast Club” where he told his fellow co-hosts DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious that he spoke to Williams over the holiday break and she sounded like her old self. While he didn’t (or couldn’t) detail whether or not the former eponymous daytime talk show was planning on making a comeback to media and television, Charlamagne did assert that based off their conversation, Williams sounded ready to make a return to radio sooner than later.

“No cap, I spoke to Wendy over the holidays. She was—seemed perfectly fine to me. Wendy sound like she can do radio tomorrow if she wanted to,” he said. “She sound like Wendy Williams, she didn’t skip a beat. She answered the phone like ‘why you talking like we just spoke yesterday?’ She wanted me to be more excited. There ain’t nothing incapacitated about Wendy Williams.”

He later added, “I don’t know what ‘incapacitated’ means in regards to the dementia or whatever they said she was dealing with, but no—there ain’t nothing incapacitated about Wendy Williams.”

Charlamagne is, of course, referencing the devastating health reports fans were made aware of back in Nov. 2024 when they learned that Williams was allegedly “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled, and incapacitated” due to her dementia. However, less than a month later, those reports started looking funny in the light after Williams was spotted out and about in Fort Lauderdale and later in Miami attending her son Kevin Hunter Jr.’s college graduation. She was also recently spotted again for the first time in the new year as captured by users on TikTok.

Hopefully, between those positive sightings and Charlamagne’s latest update—this will be the start of more good things to come for Williams and signify that her health is improving.
