Hip-Hop, we have action.

This past weekend was one of the more eventful weekends in recent rap history.
On Saturday, a bomb was dropped on the game, as Drakeโs alleged diss track towards Kendrick Lamar (and half the rap game), โPush Ups,โ leaked on social media.
Initially, many doubted its authenticity, thinking that A.I. created the track. The songโs original version included a sample of Junior M.A.F.I.A.โs 1995 single โGet Money.โ
Just hours later, another version of the diss emerged on social media with different production and some reworked lyrics. Although it was never officially confirmed by Drake or anyone associated with his team, he posted a photo to Instagram of Uma Thurman in โKill Bill,โ wielding a sword and fighting a large group of attackers.
The track is officially called, โPush Ups.โ
Outside of K. Dot, Rick Ross is one of the more notable people Drake dissed on the song: โI might take your latest girl and cuff her like Ricky/ Canโt believe heโs jumping in, this nigga turning 50/ Every song that made it on the chart he got from Drizzy/ Worry โbout whatever going on with you andโ,โ Drake rapped.
Ross did not waste any time responding to โThe Boyโ in his response track titled, โChampagne Momentsโ which he previewed and later released in a couple of hours.
Unlike Drakeโs song, there is no question if this song is A.I., as Ross has been going at Drake multiple times on X and Instagram, alluding to things he said on the track, such as, โWho nose?โ and โDrop a response or tell the kids you donโt respond #bbldrizzy.โ
Reactions to Drake and Rick Rossโ Diss Tracks
Naturally, many in the Hip-Hop community have reacted to and judged each diss track with many enjoying both.
Among them was LeBron James, who tweeted on X just hours after Drakeโs response leaked on Saturday.
Another NBA star, Trae Young, also shared his thoughts on the Drake and Ross tracks, writing on X, โIโm listening to nothing but diss records before the game tomorrow.โ (Listening to those diss tracks likely didnโt help, since the Atlanta Hawks were blown out by the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, losing 115-157.)
Outside of Ross, the only other artist who seemingly responded to โPush Upsโ was The Weekend, who posted a picture of himself laughing while eating popcorn.
On โPush Ups,โ Drizzy referred to The Weeknd by his real name, rapping, โCash blowinโ Abel bread out here trickinโ/ Shit we do for b*****s he doing for n****s.โ

SZA, who has worked with the Drake in the past, also reacted to โPush Upsโ since she was named in the song, but in a way that dissed Lamar with the lyrics, โPipsqueak, pipe down/ You ainโt in no Big 3, SZA got you wiped down/ Travis got you wiped down/ Savage got you wiped down.โ
The โSOSโ singer attempted to keep her name out of it by posting a clip on her Instagram story of NeNe Leakes saying, โNow why am I in it?โ
Likely the biggest reaction to these diss tracks came from someone who isnโt even in the rap community: Uma Thurman.
Remember when Drake posted that scene from โKill Bill?โ Thurman got wind of it and offered up the outfit she was wearing in said scene, showing a picture of the costume and writing, โNeed this? @champainepapi.โ
Drizzy responded shortly after, writing, โYes pls. The pen is the Hattori Hanzo.โ
