Cardi B has never shied away from the responsibility of taking care of her kids, but her recent revelation is something nearly every parent can relate to!

Cardi B. isn’t holding back when it comes to sharing just how hard she’s going for her three kids. But what she recently revealed just might have us looking even more sideways at her soon-to-be ex-husband and the father of all her children, rapper Offset.

Speaking in a new cover interview for Billboard published on Wednesday, the “Bongos” rapper discussed a myriad of things like her new album “AM I THE DRAMA?,” new relationship with Stefon Diggs, and how she’s been able to keep her household together and provide for her kids amidst her hella messy divorce.

Specifically, Cardi shared how becoming a mom of three grew her up and forced her to make more sacrifices so they could have the best life.

“It turned me into a real woman. I was like, ‘What makes a woman? Her body? Her cooking?’ It’s her maturity and her thinking. If I didn’t have kids, I wouldn’t sacrifice so much,” she explained.

She went on to say that she hadn’t had time to “even put my feet in a pool” this summer and that she does “everything for my kids.” She also then revealed that she’s the “only provider” for them.

Now wait a minute– only? Offset is makes money too and has a decent career too, so if true, why isn’t he chipping in more? As we told you in June, we know the bill for their kids and their care is nearly $50,000 a month. The fact that she’s not allgedly getting any help from their father is actually a crying shame.

But if you think Cardi is wasting any time shedding tears about it, think again. She actually doesn’t complain about the cost–both monetary and otherwise– it takes to make sure her kids are straight. And she has her own mother to thank for that and for setting a good example.

“If you think when you get rich you’re going to stop working, you’re never going to stop working. My mom used to be a freakin’ cashier and she used to work every single day,” Cardi explained. “To this day, I still talk about how hard my mom worked. I had a very rough childhood, but my mom always made sure we ain’t go to no shelter.”

It’s because of that upbringing that she never wants her own children to have to go without and she’s dedicated to making sure she does whatever she can ensure that they don’t.

“I want my kids to be like, ‘My mom made sure I had everything that I wanted,’” she explained.

Here’s hoping that eventually things get right between her and Offset to where he can start contributing more because this is really such a sad case all around.
