Conservative podcaster Candace Owens has been stirring up trouble following the death of her close friend and fellow podcaster, Charlie Kirk. But after accusing Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA (TPUSA), of financial fraud, even President Donald Trump’s administration is stepping in to shut her down big time.

We previously told you Owens has been on a mission to expose what she claims really happened during Kirk’s assassination on Sept. 10. She rebuked reports that Tyler Robinson, the man arrested for Kirk’s killing, was solely responsible. This has led to a series of conspiracy theories, including her latest claim that TPUSA has some shady business dealings going on.
“I am making a personal plea to every well-meaning person who donated to this Godforsaken organization to request a refund,” Owens recently said on her podcast. After accusing TPUSA of scamming its followers, questions began circulating on whether or not there was any truth to Owens’ remarks… That’s when the Department of the Treasury officially stepped in.
A private letter was sent to Kirk’s wife, Erika — the new CEO of the company — ensuring her that Turning Point is not being probed, CBS News reported. “The IRS is able to provide this type of information upon request by the taxpayer,” a senior Treasury official told Daily Mail.
“And in this case, it’s hideous that malicious lies and smears obligated her to make the request,” the official continued. In response, Owens’ team told the outlet they “never said the Treasury was investigating.”
Still, Owens’ conspiracy is undoubtedly causing damage to TPUSA. Kirk’s widow, who has remained mostly silent on Owens, spoke to Fox News’ Harris Faulkner to finally speak out and tell the former MAGA darling to “stop.”
Erika began, “I do not have time to address the noise. My silence does not mean that I am complacent. My silence does not mean that somehow Turning Point USA and all of the handpicked staff that loved my husband and my husband loved them is somehow in on it.” She continued, “I thought these people are human. We are all grieving in our own way. And they are trying to find the answer to something that happened that was so evil,” she added of conspiracy theorists like Owens.
The TPUSA CEO reassured the public that justice for her late husband will be served. “No rock will be unturned,” she told Fox. “I want justice for my husband, for myself, for my family more than anyone else out there.”
It’s unclear if Owens and Erika have spoken since Kirk’s September killing. Regardless, Owens insists there’s something else missing from the full truth of Kirk’s death. She’s done everything from alleging Israel was somehow involved to blaming the U.S. military for his murder.
Blake Neff, a producer on “The Charlie Kirk Show,” shut down Owens’ theory about fraud. “Charlie made sure the organization was audited by a third party every year,” he said. “He personally reviewed, and he signed off on every expense report and literally every single bill paid by the organization – down to a single United States dollar. We have never missed a 990 deadline.”
