Rapper Cam’ron is no stranger to making waves on social media with his opinions and viewpoints, but his latest conversation and views about his past relationship has the internet divided. And once you see what he said, you’ll more than understand.

In the latest episode of the “Talk With Flee” podcast, Cam’ron invited his ex-girlfriend Cali O’Dae to hash out their issues and talk about why things didn’t work out between the two of them. Specifically, once the topic of the rapper’s lack of financial support of O’Dae came up, it spawned a very heated debate about their expectations of each other and what men should be responsible for when it comes to their partners.
For Cam’ron, he asserted that he didn’t feel the urge to support O’Dae financially because he viewed her as a “bad investment” and said that he’d rather input in that way only if he sees some sort of long-term growth and things that show stability. That’s when O’Dae pushed back and claimed that if a woman is giving her body to a man, he should want to provide for her and take care of her.
“As a woman, if I share my body with a man, I shouldn’t expect him to protect or provide for me? That’s what I should teach your daughter? You think men and women are equal?” she questioned.
“For me, I’d rather invest in my female than give my female,” Cam’ron said.
The conversation then took another turn when Cam’ron reiterated his stance of her being a bad investment and cited the fact that her current pursuit in nursing school was proof of that. O’Dae then defended her path, explaining that she’s been working on the degree since 2019 but paused as a certain point to pursue an entrepreneurial endeavor. Sadly, that only served to further prove his point as Cam’ron then argued that it wouldn’t have taken her this long to get her degree had she not decided to make another “bad investment” in that business and dismissed it.
Naturally, one the clip began to make the rounds on social media, plenty of people had plenty to say and were a bit mixed on how the conversation went down.
“Just by the way she responding I can tell he tried to help but but she think she know it all,” wrote one user on X/Twitter.
Dear Father God. JUST GET YOUR OWN MONEY! You will realize relationships aren’t as appealing as they once were. Expecting someone to take care of you is insane. Codependency is so poor,” said another.
One other user said, “Camron Roasting his Ex with the Blunt truth has been my entertainment all morning.”
However, some users came to O’Dae’s defense.
“So why he aint give her advice,” questioned one person.
“If he didn’t want to put in on the investment then why not just pay for the nursing school?” questioned another.
Added one other person: “Even if he feels he’s right, his dating style seems like he can’t get the message thru without being condescending lol and she’s guarded and isn’t taking anything he says in.”
