Calif. ‘MAGA Dentist’ Says She Exposes Trump-Hating Patients to More Pain, and Here’s How She’s Paying For It

Dr. Harleen Grewal admitted to cutting back on treatment for dental patients, who don’t support MAGA… Now, her entire practice is under fire.

If you need a reminder to research your medical providers before you walk into their office, then here you go! A dentist in Santa Clarita, Calif. is stirring up trouble after making a shocking admission about how she treats certain patients. But although she’s trying to play off her offense remarks as a simple joke, the underlining principle will make you sick.

A resurfaced video showed Dr. Harleen Grewal cracking a few jokes about her job as a MAGA-supporting healthcare worker. At her office, the dentist reportedly has a “wall of fame,” which includes photos of prominent conservatives like Santa Clarita City Councilman Jason Gibbs and President Donald Trump. While Grewal said she takes pride in the photo gallery at her Skyline Smiles dentist office, she admitted MAGA critics often take issue with it.

“Once in a while, I get patients that come into my office, and when they see the pictures, you’d think their butt was on fire,” Grewal told an audience during a women’s Republican group over a year ago. “They jump up and take off as if Trump was coming in the room,” she added.

If that wasn’t questionable enough, the practicing dentist went on to share a hack she uses to treat non-MAGA patients. “I have a secret hat I use sometimes that says ‘Make Your Smile Great Again,’” which is a direct reference to Trump’s campaign slogan. The dentist reportedly wears the hat while working, but if any patient looks “horrified or complains,” Grewal admitted to “quietly cut[ting] back on the laughing gas” and telling them, “It’s not as bad as you think it is.”

Obviously, folks took offense to the dentist’s nonchalant admission to discriminating against her clients. “She needs to lose her license and go out of business,” @cwebbonline said on X.

@MoePezzy suggested the California dental board should get involved. “Dr. Grewal’s story needs to be investigated. She’s going to have herself and the Board litigating a class action suit if she ends up harming her patients,” he tweeted.

It’s no secret the healthcare system has a history of being biased against Black people, so Grewal’s questionable statements do nothing but perpetuate the already complex system Black folks are forced to navigate for simple treatment. A Kaiser Family Foundation study found 55 percent of Black patients fear they have to be careful about their appearance in order to be treated fairly.

“One good thing about this administration, it’s revealing people’s true colors. Now the people can choose carefully about who and what they want to spend their hard earned money on,” @Supermanrashaan wrote on X.

The video has over two million views on X and thousands more on TikTok and Instagram. Expectedly, word got back to Dr. Grewal that she’d become a viral sensation. Now, she claims her remarks were just jokes.

“Yes, I said it in one of my roasting speeches at a women’s Republican group. Just like the Democrats, they make jokes, too. We make jokes as well. Why can’t we just take a joke light-heartedly?” Grewal told ABC 7 News. “The dental board did an investigation. They cleared it out and said there was nothing they could find that proved any of that.”

Despite Grewal insisting she’s been clear by the board, folks online aren’t letting up. They’ve found her social media pages, her office at Skyline Smiles in Santa Clarita, and now, they’ve been leaving horrendous reviews online.
