A Louisiana grandma is turning to social media to help her figure out the origin of a mysterious image that appeared in a photo of her six-year-old grandson playing in a pool with his siblings. The unrecognizable likeness, which appeared over a week after her grandson had a near-death experience, has her wondering if what she saw is a ghost or just a camera glitch.

On July 10, KLFY reported on TikToker @cajunnanacat’s six-year-old grandson DJ’s brush with death after he fell into a pool over the Fourth of July weekend. His body was lifeless for several minutes before he was revived by CPR. But the story he told his family of what he saw while he was unconscious sounds almost supernatural. Cat shared the story in a TikTok post with her over 490,000 followers.
According to Cat’s story, her grandson said he went to Heaven. He described seeing relatives who had previously passed away, hearing angels singing and seeing an image of God. The six-year-old also recalled seeing a Mexican girl he had never met before who stayed with God when he returned to his body. The story gets even more complicated when Cat shares a photo her daughter took of DJ and his two siblings in a blow-up pool with what appears to be a fourth child face down in the water. The only problem – no one else was invited to their pool party.

“We don’t know who this is, because when the picture was taken, it was only her three sons in the pool,” Cat said. “My grandson right here is looking right at it. There is not a fourth child in the photo.”
Cat goes on to say that the image in the picture looks more like a person than a shadow.
“I don’t know what to think. Maybe somebody came back with him,” she said. “I believe I’m going to bring my grandson to a holy person and have him prayed over.
Cat’s post has received more than 36,000 views and tons of comments from people who weighed in on what they think they see in the picture. Some believe DJ (who now wants to be called Avir, which means “air” in Hebrew) is seeing his own image.
“Chills and it looks exactly like he’s looking at his own body,” wrote someone in the comments.
Others theorize that the mysterious person in the picture is the little girl he saw while he was with God.
“This might be the little girl who passed on. Remnants of energy. Don’t feed into fear of the unknown. Sometimes things can’t be understood exactly when we want them to be,” wrote someone else.
Several commenters suggested Cat ask her grandson who is looking at in the picture, to which Cat responded that her daughter is too afraid to hear the answer.
But not everyone is convinced that the image in the picture was something supernatural.
“I think blue shorts was mid jump when the pic was taken it’s showing him about to jump and after something about frames per second basically 2 pics in one because he moved so fast,” wrote someone else on TikTok.
