Busta Rhymes Runs Up on Content Creator Who Said He Looks Like Tracy Morgan — and It’s Not Pretty

In a now-viral clip, Busta Rhymes had to get a fan together after a case of mistaken identity.

Rapper Busta Rhymes is always happy to make time to show love to his fans, taking pictures or signing autographs. That is, unless his “fans” confuse him with another Black celebrity. One young white content creator learned that lesson the hard way when what started as a friendly photo op went all the way wrong.

In a now-viral clip, a young man asks someone to take a video of him and Busta. The only problem is that the young man referred to the “Pass The Courvoisier” rapper as Tracy Morgan, the actor and comedian best known for roles on hit shows like “30 Rock,” “Saturday Night Live” and, of course, his recurring role as Hustle Man on the mid-1990s sitcom “Martin.”

And while we can all agree that Morgan is funny AF, Busta wasn’t laughing, and the mixup turned his smile upside down.

“What did you just say?” a visibly annoyed Busta Rhymes can be heard saying when he realizes the young man is clearly playing in his face.

Things only get worse as the young fan tries to walk back his comments, blaming a friend who was with him for the mix-up. Then Busta, who is not amused, asks the young man if he was trying to be funny. While we can’t confirm it, we’re pretty sure the fan was looking for the nearest hole to crawl into.

Some online tried to give the young man grace, commenting that the rapper and the SNL alum do share some resemblance.

“Y’all see Busta Rhyme go off on that kid for calling him Tracy Morgan…….. while looking just like Tracy Morgan!!” wrote someone on X.

But there were other fans who were just as offended as Busta for even pretending to confuse the two Black men, suggesting the young content creator go back and have a serious lesson in hip-hop history.

“These young wannabe influencers [need] to start respecting legends when they see them….,” wrote someone on TikTok.

One TikToker said the young man should feel lucky that he didn’t make the same mistake with Busta 30 years ago – then, the situation could have taken a “Dangerous” turn.

“Bro just better be glad he didn’t catch Busta in 1995 or it woulda been wooooooohaaaaaaaaa!!!” wrote another TikToker in the comments.
