Brian McKnight’s Shocking Alleged Words to His Dying Son Will Have You Big Mad

Fans are outraged after McKnight Jr. reveals the “Back at One” singer refused to tell his late brother he loved him, even in his final days.

Brian McKnight Jr. says his estranged father, Brian McKnight, took coldness to a new level in his final interactions with his late brother, Niko. And while this wouldn’t be the first time the Grammy-Award winning R&B singer would be dragged for being the worst father ever, Brian Jr.’s recent comments about his dad has folks fired up all over again.

The superstar’s son spilled the tea during a recent interview with Marc Lamont Hill, detailing how his brother spent his final days begging his dad for a simple “I love you,” which he never received. Niko — staring death in the face — was left heartbroken when the “Back at One” singer still refused to say the words, even as his son was nearing the end of his life.

According to Brian Jr., this remains one of his “most disheartening memories” to date.

“One of the darkest and coldest and most disheartening memories of my life is the day my brother [Niko] calls me sobbing — with all he’s going through — looking death in the eye, to tell me I’m right about telling him not to call my father because I knew what was going to happen,” Brian Jr. explained.

“I told him [Niko], ‘Dad is gone.’”

“All my brother wanted, and needed, asked for, was my father to tell him that he loves him. And my father responds to my brother: ‘I can’t arbitrarily say that I love you.’ But this is the man that wanted to help him?” Brian Jr. said.

Fans in the comments section were floored at the sheer audacity, using their Twitter fingers to make their opinions known.

One fan revealed they had no idea of the singer’s “depths of darkness,” while another flat out wrote: “That man is not seeing heaven.”

“If that happened to my brother… my father and I would be on sight. On the bond!” a third clapped back.

As we’ve previously reported, the singer revealed his controversial sentiments during an Instagram Q&A, where he shunned his biological children by calling them a “product of sin.”

“In order to live a life that you love, you have to get rid of the evil and the negativity — even if that evil and negativity is related,” the singer said. His son Niko pushed back, calling his perspective straight up “wild.”

“I’m evil. That’s wild: The guy who used to make me clean his used condoms out his bathroom at 15 before Lisa got home is calling me evil Fashoooooo,” he clapped back, per The Shaderoom.
