Just recently, a brutal brawl between Sprirt Airlines employees and a customer went viral. Just a day later, a woman shared the story of how her luggage got stolen while on a Spirit flight and she was able to recover it on her own.

Baltimore Brawl
In May 2024, a viral video of four Spirit Airlines employees at Baltimore/Washington International Airport showed them ganging up on a customer and punching him while he was on the ground.
Stolen luggage
In a wild story, a passenger who took a flight on Spirit Airlines from New York to Florida noticed that it was gone when she landed. Without the help of police, she was able to track down the luggage due to receiving a ping from one of her Apple Watch just minutes away from the Florida airport where she arrived, according to WPLG Local 10.
Water landing
A normal flight from Jamaica to Florida saw passengers being scared for their lives as they were told by the pilot that they needed to prepare for an emergency landing on the water, which led to widespread panic for the people on board.
Fight on landing
Several Spirit Airline passengers were involved in a fight as the plane was landing at Boston Logan Airport in May 2024. One passenger described the incident as a “melee.”
Flight outburst
Viral footage showed a Black woman having an absolute meltdown while on Spirit Airlines. The footage, which is from March 23, shows Vegas police attempting to take her off the flight as she yells.
Toddler put on the wrong flight
In December 2023, a 6-year-old was supposed to be on a flight from Philadelphia to Southwest Florida for the holidays. He ended up 160 miles away in Orlando, Florida. He was incorrectly boarded on a flight to Orlando by a Spirit Airlines employee, according to ABC News.
Liquid spilling from the restroom
We shouldn’t wish this on our worst enemy as they’re trying to relax on a flight. In April 2024, passengers headed to New Jersey witnessed a disgusting liquid leak from one of the restrooms on the plane, watching it flow down the aisle.
Passenger jumps over seats
In an effort to deplane faster, video showed a passenger jumping over seats during the flight and yelling at anyone who attempted to stop him.
Employee blows up on Karen passenger
This video shows a Spirit Airlines employee having enough of a whiny Karen who would not stop complaining, leading to the worker snapping at the customer.
Drunk passenger
In a viral video posted to TikTok, a passenger appeared to be “visibly intoxicated” during the flight berating passengers and acting aggressively toward staff.
Passenger meltdown
Why can’t passengers act normal on flights? In this 2018 video, a passenger is seen losing their cool on a Spirit Airlines flight from Houston to Minneapolis. She can be seen walking up and down the aisle while screaming hysterically.
Plane on fire
Fire in the air never sounds good. In March 2023, during the flight, an overhead bin caught on fire, causing smoke to disperse across the plane. The flight was eventually diverted and landed in Jacksonville, Florida. It was discovered that the fire came from a battery.

Karen arrested for going on a violent tirade
In September 2021, on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, a white woman went on a racist tirade toward a Black Muslim woman, telling her, “You f***ing Muslim terrorist, nobody’s talking to you, mind your business,” according to WXYZ Detroit.
Woman uses restroom in public
In a disgusting act, a woman was seen on video using the restroom on the floor of the plane after complaining that the staff prevented her from using the restroom for two hours.
