Brandy wants to record a new album, but her record label is allegedly bottlenecking the process.
According to the Associated Press, the singer is suing Chameleon Entertainment Group because she claims that the music label is not allowing her to make or release new music. Brandy's lawsuit argues that it's some kind of arm-twisting move to coerce her into signing a new deal with the label.
Brandy signed a deal with Chameleon in 2011 and went on to release her 2012 album, Two Eleven. That deal reportedly gave Chameleon the option to release four more Brandy albums, but Brandy's suit claims that the label is not moving a finger to get another project going.
Brandy's lawsuit says that she has already put the kibosh on her contract with Chameleon, but she wants a judge's ruling to confirm everything.
