Over the past few years, we’ve shared lots of stories about 2024 The Root 100 honoree Sabrina Greenlee, the inspirational NFL mom, author and activist who survived a terrifying acid attack that left her badly burned and without sight, including one about how she relies on her sense of hearing and touch to cook full meals for herself in her kitchen.

Whether she’s walking a red carpet or speaking to domestic violence survivors, Sabrina Greenlee always looks amazing, which is why we were so excited when we got the chance to get a peek inside her closet, the place she says is where the magic happens.
In July, Greenlee gave her social media followers a tour of her fabulous walk-in closet, which is something that could only have been created in a fashion-lover’s dreams in a TikTok post she captioned, “Closet goals unlocked. Welcome to my happy place.” She told viewers that designing her closet was a labor of love that took nearly a year to make sure every detail was perfect.
The space, which is bigger than most New York City apartments, includes a vanity area for her jewelry and accessories, a lighted display case to show off her collection of handbags and a floor-to-ceiling wall of shoes that are beautifully color coordinated. Her racks of clothes are also color-coordinated to help her keep track of all of her stylish pieces.
“I’m really particular like that. When I come in here, being visually impaired, I want to make sure that everything is exactly where it is,” she said.
Greenlee made the most of the space, including lots of seating areas and a mini bar perfect for entertaining her fashion-loving guests.
“What is a huge closet without an area where you can invite someone over and just have some cute little wine?” she asked while showing the space.

The amazing closet space also provides a beautiful backdrop for Greenlee, who often records inspirational messages for her followers which she calls “Closet Chronicles.”
Along with the closet, Greenlee also uses technology to help her make sure her outfits are always on point. She recently posted a clip of how she gets dressed with the help of Meta glasses which describe each piece of the outfit her assistant leaves on a rack every day.
“This is how I get dressed without sight but never without style,” she captioned a July 28 TikTok post.
