During the NFL season, you can count on Greenlee being there to cheer on her son, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Now, in a recent social media post, Greenlee shared a special day she had with a blind teenager who also happened to be a huge fan of Hopkins and the Ravens. In the post, Greenlee picks up a teenager named Riley at her home to spend a day at the Ravens game as they faced off against the Chicago Bears.
“Meeting 13 year old Riley, who is blind, for the first time. I kept my promise in taking her to a Baltimore ravens game💜💜,” Greenlee captioned an Oct. 26 TikTok post.
In the post, an excited Riley is overcome with emotion, hugging Greenlee and thanking her for the opportunity to cheer on her beloved team. Greenlee’s post received nearly 15,000 likes on TikTok and comments from hundreds of people who were touched by the heartwarming moment.
“Love this lady, her spirit, her energy everything about her💯💯,” wrote someone in the comments.
When they got to the stadium, Greenlee shared more clips from their fun Sunday, including a post of Riley showing off a custom-made Ravens sweatshirt with Hopkins’ number that her mom made for big game.
Seeing the two enjoy the game together even got fans of the opposing team to put down their rivalry (if only for a moment) to root for the Ravens and Greenlee’s new-found friendship with Riley.
“I’m in tears. I’m a huge huge Bears fan but this made my night I’m so glad the Ravens won today,” wrote someone on TikTok.
