Black TikTok Swears Victoria Beckham’s Son Romeo Looks Black and They Might Have a Point

Black folks online say Romeo Beckham is a “baby Shemar Moore” who could be kin to the DeBarge family. What you think?

Victoria Beckham and her husband David are being called to the front because the Black internet has some questions! Folks can’t help but suspect their 22-year-old son, Romeo James Beckham, is really Black– or at the very least biracial, especially after his new campaign with Champion went viral. Now, the internet is having a field day debating Romeo’s Blackness.

The speculation surrounding Romeo’s race are based purely on his physical appearance. Some say the model’s facial features, skin tone– which is deeper than his father’s, his tattoos, and his hair without a shadow of a doubt resembles those of a Black or mixed-race person.

“Romeo Beckham is Black,” one TikTok user said in a video. “That’s a light skinned Negro. Clearly not 100% but post-translantic slave trade… something’s going on in that family tree. It’s giving Jodeci. It’s giving, ‘Who all gone be there?’”

He added how, “Someone told this boy in childhood that he smelled like outside” before suggesting how the entire “Beckham clan needs to sit down and watch Rebecca Hall’s ‘Passing.’” The 2021 historical drama “Passing,” starring Tessa Thompson, follows a Black woman and her white-passing childhood friend in 1920s New York City. He even “started the paperwork to file an official African American motion to trade him for Candace Owens.”

Adding fuel to the fire, folks took to the comment section to wholeheartedly agree. “That’s Victoria’s Secret,” one person joked. Another called him “an athletic El Debarge,” while another named him a “Baby Shemar Moore” who favors “Justin Bieber’s cousin from New York.”

The discourse continued on X.

“So is Romeo Beckham exposing his mother’s family secret of being white passing?,” one person wrote in part. “Years ago they were saying Victoria looked Black.”

Speaking of his mother Victoria, the former Spice Girl was also rumored to be Black during the British girl group’s prime in the mid-to late ’90s. Although social media didn’t exist back then, folks still talked about how Victoria, or Posh Spice, wasn’t 100% white based on her appearance, signature blunt-cut bob, fashion, and “light skinned” complexion. “Victoria Beckham is white with black features,” one person said on X. Another person wrote, “I knew Victoria was Black when she stepped out in head to toe purple matching fits with her man for her wedding.”

Other comments included how, “Victoria Beckham has been giving mixed black girl vibes since day one” and “Posh is passing…she has yaki hair texture and her ORIGINAL nose is African. We know our people lol.”

A Black woman said on TikTok how, “You couldn’t tell me Victoria Beckham wasn’t a Black woman with an undefeated silk press growing up” and how she thought Victoria and David were in “an interracial relationship… before Meghan and [Prince] Harry.”

Despite any speculation, Victoria was born to two white parents in Harlow, Essex, England. Romeo’s father, retired soccer superstar David Beckham, was also born to two white parents in Leytonstone, London, England.

Regardless of what ancestry results may say, as one TikToker put it when it comes to Romeo allegedly being Black, “Once you see it, you cant unsee it.”
