Black Stars Who Slayed at the Emmys 2025 Red Carpet

It’s officially awards season in Hollywood! The 77th Primetime Emmys aired Sunday (Sept. 14), honoring the best of the best in television. This award show comes in the midst of a very stylish and poppin’ New York Fashion Week and just on the heels of top-tier film festivals like Toronto International Film Festival and Venice Film Festival wrapping up.

But as far as the Emmys go, popular shows like “Abbott Elementary,” “Paradise,” “Severance,” “White Lotus” and more were all up for multiple nominations this year. Our fave actors and actresses like Sterling K. Brown, Ayo Edebiri, Colman Domingo, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tramell Tillman, Quinta Brunson and a whole handful more were waiting in anticipation for whether or not they’ll be going home with the gold.

But before we get to the winners, we’ve got to get into the red carpet fashions, so keep reading to see all the goodness!

Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo has never met a carpet he didn’t slay and this year’s Emmy’s is no different! It’s not everyday you see this color combo either, but he did a great job at pulling it off.

Sheryl Lee Ralph

Forget a devil in a blue dress, “Abbott Elementary’s” Sheryl Lee Ralph brought all the diva in a blue dress vibes at the Emmys and we couldn’t get enough!

Angela Bassett

Angela Bassett continued to do the thing and absolutely show up and show out on the Emmys red carpet. Between the metallic dress and the long wavy tresses, this look is by far one of our favorites!

Brian Tyree Henry

Brian Tyree Henry may play a “Dope Thief,” but he was every bit of dapper and on point for the 2025 Emmys!

Much like Domingo, “Abbott’s” Janelle James has rarely met a carpet she didn’t absolutely murk and we’re always looking forward to whatever look she steps out in!

Natasha Rothwell went from “Insecure” to “Let me show a little leg” during the Emmys red carpet and we’re so happy she did!
