Julian Brown, 21, first made headlines after launching NatureJab, a company that turns plastic waste into fuel he calls “Plastidiesel.” But months after making waves across social media with his invention, Brown alarmed supporters with a string of unsettling videos, claiming he’s “under attack” and that fans should keep their eyes peeled. Now, supporters of Brown are wondering where exactly he could be.

The Root spoke with Brown in May, when the young nature-lover detailed his journey to transforming plastic trash into a clean-burning fuel. One that — according to his documentation from ASAP Labs — tested cleaner than many industry-standard competitors. But just two days ago, videos began surfacing online showing Brown visibly shaken, alleging he’s been “falsely accused,” and that “weird black helicopters” had been circling his home at night.
“I can’t go into too much detail,” Brown began in one viral post. “But there is some very, very odd stuff going on. I’m certainly under attack right now in many different ways. And I just want everyone to know to just have your eyes open. And I have my eyes open… I’m still working, I’m still building — nothing’s gonna stop that. But I’m just telling you guys right now. Be on the lookout, because I’m under attack.”
Fans didn’t miss a beat running to the comments section.
“We told him when he first started messing with this stuff,” one fan wrote in the comments. “What?! Say prayers for this man,” a second penned. A third explained: “I saw this comment on another post: his ig got hacked and his drivers license was leaked so he posted a story about 2 weeks ago saying he’s been followed and has to hide. He could be hiding but I’m def worried about man’s safety right now.”
In a separate video, fans speculated that the young inventor may have gone into hiding — and they didn’t hold back when it came to unpacking the implications. “Why didn’t we protect him better?” one commenter asked. Another added, “This is the tragedy of being Black in America. We have no system in place to protect our best and brightest…”
Some took a more explosive tone, exclaiming, “That man is in hiding!! He’s smarter than most think…” while another boldly alleged, “The government is the enemy of the people.”
Even on one of his personal videos, fans are seen checking in with one another in the thread, asking: “Has anybody heard from him? Is he okay?” just hours ago.
However, Brown’s mother Nia told Daily Mail Monday (July 28) that her son is fine…just in hiding for his safety.
“I can confirm Julian is safe but in the best interest of his security I’m not able to provide any more information,” she said without providing further details of his wherabouts.
Brown did not respond to The Root’s request for comment by the time of publication.
