Dylan Desclos, a French Justin Bieber impersonator, went viral after he and his “advance team” successfully tricked security and staff at the XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas into believing he was the real pop star. According to reports, on Saturday (Aug. 16), Desclos was invited on stage where he performed Bieber’s song “Sorry” to a massive, unsuspecting crowd during a DJ set as a surprise.

DJ Gryffin, who emceed the event and has since spoke out about “Biebergate,” posted a video of the apparent Bieber, shirtless underneath a zip-up hoodie, walking across the stage and performing. “Bieber in the house, y’all!” Gryffin yelled to the excited crowd, video shows.

Gryffin added that because the venue was so dark and so loud with music, per NBC News, those circumstances made it difficult to determine whether the man was legitimately Bieber. The DJ even claimed the man “sounded like justin bieber” after his team approached him asking for him to perform.

Desclos and his group also racked up a bill of nearly $10,000 for bottle service, but the kicker is he reportedly paid the tab.

In the DJ’s video, a person is seen pulling Gryffin aside to tell him that the “Bieber” on stage was a “complete fake.” Gryffin’s jaw dropped.

As soon as the club’s staff realized the ruse, Desclos was removed from the venue. The Wynn confirmed the incident and stated that the impersonator has been permanently banned from their properties.

The Black internet shared their thoughts on Twitter.

“He didn’t tricked the club the club tricked the audience because they couldn’t book Justin Bieber,” one person wrote. A second person commented, “No fckn way,” with three crying face emojis. A third said the impersonator “Fooled me too.”

Desclos has reportedly been impersonating Justin Bieber for several years, with many fans in France and elsewhere acknowledging his resemblance. He has stated that his team, not he, was the one who orchestrated the stunt.
