Leading up to the sentencing date, Diddy wrote a letter to the judge begging for mercy. But while the court is preparing to announce the disgraced mogul’s judgement, Black folks online have already made up their mind about him.

We’ve told you all about Diddy’s fight to get his convictions thrown out. Two days after he was denied an acquittal and a new trial, Diddy reportedly penned a letter to the judge detailing how he was “dead wrong.” The Bad Boy founder said he’s taking “full responsibility and accountability for my past wrongs” and told the court he’s “sincerely sorry.”

You can bet Black folks online had interesting thoughts on the matter. @OrenIshii01 told Diddy to “Go directly to hell you loser” on X.

@_RiaYoung reacted to the news of Diddy’s letter simply writing “Chile please…” on X. Prosecutors in the case are asking the judge to sentence the rapper to more than 11 years, NBC reported.

But some folks online want the judge to throw the whole book at Diddy. “Hope he gets the max,” @InHollywoodland said.

@nhoodpublicist said, “I hope the judge give Diddy the max sentence he can give him. Hopefully he’ll die in the prison for humanity’s sake.”

@niaaaimani tweeted that she’s “Praying on his downfall tomorrow, we need some good news!”

“I am unmoved. Hope he d!es in prison,” @ally_oops tweeted. The 55-year-old was originally facing life behind bars after being indicted on racketeering charges. In the end, Diddy reportedly fell to his knees when a jury came back and acquitted him on the harshest charges.

With Diddy’s recent letter, many people online called him out for giving an half apology. “This isn’t a letter of remorse, it’s a letter of plead to be released now,” @Queenie_2312 said. “That man is not sorry.”

@mediadean wrote that Diddy “missed talking about being apologetic to the victims though.” News of Diddy’s letter came after his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura wrote a heart-breaking letter to the judge, The Root reported. Cassie took the stand during Diddy’s trial explaining the years of abuse she endured at the hands of her ex.

“You don’t get to act hard and beat women like you’re hard then cry like a baby to avoid the consequences of being like that. Have fun in prison,” @alisha_ann94 tweeted.

@CHVSEN_CVSH said he doesn’t believe the letter was written by Diddy himself. “This was written by a ghost writer,” he tweeted.

Folks argued the letter seemed disingenuous. “So his defense is ‘my bad’ . Keep his ass locked all the f*ck up,” @Ethyn76755353 wrote.

“Either his narcissistic injuries have broken him fr or this is just more manipulative play,” @applechews_ wrote. “Too much emphasis on his own discomfort.”

Diddy faces up to 20 years in prison (10 years for each guilty prostitution charge). The rapper and his family currently waits in court for the judge to hand down his sentence.
