Democrats are getting creative with finding ways to call for the release of the infamous Epstein files… And one Ga. congressman is taking it to a new level through song, which is causing chaos and hysteria online.

After the Department of Justice (DOJ) concluded their investigation into the case of Jeffrey Epstein– the disgraced child sex offender and influential financier– MAGA supporters and Democrats are demanding answers. That’s why Ga. Rep. Hank Johnson took to X on July 14, posting a video of him expressing similar frustration.
“I’m Congressman Hank Johnson coming to give you some more ear candy– or perhaps an earache, but I’m going to do my best off of this Jason Isbell tune, ‘Dreamsicle,’” he introduced. In the video, Johnson is standing in his office with his guitar in hand. That’s when he started belting his remix to the popular song.
He sang, “Epstein died by suicide/ Believe that and you must be blind/ You’ve been telling us you’d release the files, but where are they?” Ever since the 2019 death of Epstein, many have speculated there was more to his alleged suicide, including an alleged “client list,” which the DOJ denies.
Johnson continued, “We’ve gone along with what’s been told/ You’ve had plenty of time, you’re in control/ But now you say you will withhold the Epstein Files.” To be expected, Johnson’s tune didn’t impress many online. In fact, his comments on X were flooded with folks’ harsh critiques.
“This can’t be real,” @RealJacquezTX tweeted. And while some expressed disbelief, others had more colorful words aimed at the 70-year-old congressman.
“Our country is led by the dumbest most unserious mother f*****s on planet Earth,” @liberalismONCMD said. “Both sides. Total sh*t show.”
“Why is every politician a cornball,” @tittyreborn tweeted.
“America yearns for a political party that can actually be serious and do their jobs. Meanwhile the Dems.” @classic_fb tweeted.
All of this comes as President Donald Trump and the DOJ are trying their best to suppress the fallout over arguably the most controversial case in American history. Even MAGA supporters and Republicans are calling for Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi’s head over the matter. So with that, many see Rep. Johnson’s song as a creative way to get the word out.
“Honestly a lot of this congress is more fun than I realized, let’s give them a majority next,” @axfelix said.
@DerekToVideo said, “Song of the summer dropped a little late but it’s finally here.” Another user, @swamp_ist added, “Whatever I kinda like it,”
It’s unlikely Johnson’s song will move the needle much. But in a country where folks continue to claim Democrats aren’t doing enough to fight back and at the same time express disappointment in the current administration, maybe more politicians should follow in Johnson’s footsteps and pick up an instrument!
