For a limited time only, folks in Vegas can experience an “elevated social experience” at the Palms Casino Resort, according to a May press release by Mattel, the company that owns UNO. But Mattel confirmed to USA TODAY that entry to the event is limited and money will not be on the line.

Of course, that didn’t stop Black folks from fantasizing about the possibility of winning big time in city famous for gambling. “They got UNO in Vegas now! My time to shine,” @CleoElisse said on X.

Another user, @Hampsworld, tweeted, “Black folks finna go to Vegas and get on that Uno tryna play with ‘our’ rules and leave looking like Franklin Saint!”

If Uno ever permanently hits Vegas casinos, many folks online said Black folks will be in serious trouble. @obareyna warned, “Hire more security. This will get ugly.”

Many carried the same sentiment. @DaKidGowie tweeted, “Vegas better keep security nearby. A draw four could lead to guns being drawn.”

“So many black people gone be banned from casinos for trying to stack cards,” @MrsGeotech added. If you’ve ever played in a room full of Black people, you know the best way to avoid all confusion is to set the rules at the very beginning.

Black folks are known for creating our own rules to the game. This includes stacking, trains and all the other foolishness players might make up. But in Vegas, you will have to play by the rulebook.

“Only thing that’s going to be wild is that black folks you got to actually go by the rules,” @DAndreXMiller tweeted. “Wait, what rules we going by? Yt ppl Uno or Black ppl Uno,” @itsJay_Verde asked. “If they stacking, I’m cooked.”

“‘Tf you mean I can’t put a draw two on a draw 4,’” @JustCJDunkin7 joked.

Because UNO gets extremely competitive, many Black folks think Vegas should add Spades to casinos to shake up the tables as well. “Now add Spades so we can really get busy,” @TheQueenMuse1 tweeted.

Other folks joked that when playing UNO with money on the line, you can’t show any mercy. “Making someone Draw 4 when they have their kids tuition on the line,” @Nupe_4life said.

@DukeOfZamunda added, “A n***a playing a +4 on me when i’m already -$5000 in the hole gonna send me to MARS.”

“Me after I just got hit with 3 draw 4 cards in a row and lost my entire bank account,” @BruceWRLD_ wrote.

For now, folks don’t have to worry about losing their life’s savings on the card game. However, this shows that the demand for UNO to make its official debut in Las Vegas is high. We’ll just have to wait and see if Mattel takes the internet suggestions into account.
