Veteran actor Bill Nunn has died at the age of 62. Nunn, who will always be best-known for his iconic role as Radio Raheem in Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, died Saturday in his hometown of Pittsburgh.

Lee, who attended Morehouse College with Nunn, confirmed his friend’s death via Instagram:

Nunn also appeared in Lee’s School Daze, Mo’ Better Blues and He Got Game. Outside of Lee’s films, Nunn also appeared in Kiss the Girls, New Jack City, Sister Act and 3 Spiderman.

Nunn’s cause of death has not been released.
