Bill Cosby looked to be in good spirits Monday as he entered the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa., for a pretrial hearing in his sexual assault case.

Cosby and his team of attorneys were in court Monday to iron out last-minute details about the trial, specifically if jurors would hear his 25-year-old “Spanish fly” joke mentioned in his book Childhood as well as in an old Larry King interview. While prosecutors contended that the jokes show Cosby’s propensity for drugging women, the defense argued that they were just jokes.
The judge didn’t rule on the admissibility of the jokes or of Cosby’s comments in a deposition about giving women Quaaludes in the 1970s, he did rule that the trial will begin June 5 with an anonymous, sequestered jury selected from the Pittsburgh area, and is slated to last two weeks.
Cosby is going on trial on charges of drugging and molesting a woman named Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004. More than 50 women have come forward with allegations that were drugged and raped by Cosby over the last five decades.
