While a romantic relationship between Lupita Nyong’o and Joshua Jackson may have only been speculation in late October, it seems the internet’s hunch may be correct after all.

Per PEOPLE, the two were spotted holding hands while taking a walk in Joshua Tree, Calif. on Tuesday. While that could’ve been completely harmless and platonic, this sighting comes just one day after the duo were also spotted shopping at an Erewhon and driving together.
In pictures captured by TMZ, Lupita can be seen trying to duck cameras while sitting in the passenger seat of their car — a stark contrast from her more relaxed disposition in Tuesday’s photos.
Of course, if and when the two decide to announce that they’re officially an item isn’t up to us. But I’d be lying if I said the prospect of seeing a budding new romance during a year that saw more celebrity breakups than tour stops for Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” Tour didn’t make me hopeful.
As previously reported by The Root, the “Black Panther” actress and the “Dawson’s Creek” alum both went through major breakups a few months back. In a post to social media, Nyong’o described it as “a season of heartbreak,” adding that the dissolution of her relationship with Selema Masekala was spawned by “deception.”
As for Jackson, the news of his divorce from his soon-to-be ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith came at the top of October with the ex-couple decided to do life separately after four years of marriage. The divorce papers cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their split.
