Boston archaeologists are digging at the childhood home of black rights activist Malcolm X as part of a project that is expected to last two weeks, the Associated Press reports.

According to AP, members of Malcolm X’s family and other community members are expected to help Boston’s Archaeology Lab and researchers from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, undertake the excavation.
As the newswire notes, Malcolm X lived with his sister’s family in Boston as a teenager in the 1940s.
