The famed Apollo Theater unveiled a boulevard of stars along W. 125th St. Monday – featuring musical icons like James Brown and Patti LaBelle.

“I started out in the Apollo, and it will always be a home to me,” R&B legend Smokey Robinson said about his star.

LaBelle also chimed in, “My career began at the Apollo, so I’m humbled to be able to be a part of its rich and continued legacy.

“We need to teach history,” said Jonelle Procope, president of the Apollo Theater.

“Pedestrians can get a little taste of our legendary performers.”

The seven superstars who debuted on the walk all have a home in the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame, including Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Gladys Knight and the Pips and Little Richard.
