Amid New Diddy Sexual Assault Lawsuit, Columbus Short Comes With Allegations of His Own

Short is sounding the alarm on what allegedly happened to him, but does it have merit?

As Hollywood continues to reel from the latest accusations stemming from yet another sexual assault lawsuit lobbed against Diddy, β€œScandal” star Columbus Short is speaking out and sharing details about him allegedly being groomed by Diddy years ago.

Speaking in an interview with the β€œBoss Talk Podcast 101,” Short explained that back in 2008, the hip-hop mogul approached him at the premiere of β€œCadillac Records” to give him his props and inquire about an acting coach for his upcoming project β€œA Raisin in the Sun.” After that, Short says he feels the β€œgrooming” with Diddy started.

Short then went on to describe a time later when Diddy called him at around 2a.m. from an unknown number the night of the BET Awards while he was in bed with his wife. Though he was hesitant to answer, he eventually did at the behest of his wife. That’s when Short said Diddy called to see what he was up to and told him he was at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. When Short inquired about who all he was hanging with Diddy responded: β€œjust me.”

Short ended up declining the invite but later told the podcasts host that he unintentionally left that detail out when he first alluded to the story on his Instagram months ago.

As previously reported by The Root, Diddy was sued on Tuesday in federal court by a producer who worked on his latest album β€œThe Love Album: Off the Grid,” Rodney β€œLil Rod” Jones. In the suit, Jones stated that he lived and traveled with Combs from September 2022 to November 2023 and alleged that during that time the β€œBad Boy” rapper sexually harassed, threatened and drugged him. Jones also claimed he had damning recorded footage of Combs and his associates β€œengaging in serious illegal activity” and alleged that numerous well-known celebrities were victims.

Unlike β€œLil Rod,” Short hasn’t filed any legal allegations. Is this yet another case of a celeb vying for their 15 minutes of fame or is Columbus Short really shedding light on something far more nefarious?
