As we told you before, the “Good As Hell” singer has had quite an interesting past few years. In addition to getting praised for staying consistent in her weight loss journey and finally reaching her goal weight, she also faced skepticism from people claiming that she was taking popular weight loss drug, Ozempic, or something similar.
Lizzo also had to deal with the ongoing drama stemming from the sexual harassment lawsuit lobbed against her by a few of her former backup dancers. The negative attention and accusations got so bad, the “Rumors” singer decided to step away from social media and the spotlight so that she could get a grip on her anxiety.
She’s since returned and made it a point to churn out some fun music as a part of it. Butnow, her latest song, “IDGAS” from her recently released album “My Face Still Hurts from Smiling,” is arguably her most IDGAF-laced song yet.
Posting a video rapping along to the song on a pink lace trimmed leopard outfit and black bunny ears on Instagram over the weekend, Lizzo touched on the Ozempic allegations and the lawsuit and she didn’t mince words.
“What you gonna say? I throw ass on the ‘net for attention. What you gonna say? I lost weight. Let me guess, is that Ozempic?” she said at one part. “What you gonna say? That I’m phat–pretty hot and tempting. Y’all want to hate me so bad
Specifically referencing the lawsuit and the talk that she allegedly “fat-shamed” her backup dancers, Lizzo rapped: “How can I fat shame? I’m fat. How am I racist? I’m Black.”
Whew, it looks like all the depression and anxiety finally left and now Lizzo’s entered her clap-back era. And the people online are here for it surprisingly!
“THIS IS MY FAVORITE LIZZO ERA RIGHT NOW,” wrote one user in the comments on Instagram.
“I don’t think the world expected you to be THIS MUCH of a problem Lizzo,” said another.
“Lizzo really eating up the rap girlies!” one other user wrote.
Added another: “You snapped! Only haters saying otherwise! And this is my first time really f*cking with your music.”
