Sharpton, who spoke to reporters at his National Action Network headquarters, said that a meeting is planned with Barneys executives and members of NAN on Tuesday. If Sharpton's team and Barneys reps can't see eye to eye, then the civil rights activist will organize a protest during the holiday season.

"We'll march all the way down to your store โ€” I'll serve turkey right on the corner," Sharpton told the New York Post. He also expressed concern about a possible conspiracy between Barneys and the New York Police Department.

"What is the collusion between the NYPD and your security that four blocks away from the store, the NYPD stops somebody that bought something in your store?" the New York Post quotes Sharpton as saying. "We call 911 and can't get no response. Somebody spent over two grand, and you pick them up four blocks later."

Sharpton did not direct any of his fervor toward Jay Z, who has a collaboration with the store that is set to debut next month. "Some people want to make this about Jay Z," Sharpton said. "No, this is about Barneys first."
