A Texas woman has been arrested and charged with allegedly murdering her 18-year-old girlfriend. According to a statement released Friday by the Houston Police Department, Shania Laneice Turner is believed to have been in a relationship Tierra Horn when she was reported missing Jan. 4.
Police discovered Hornβs body near a Texas bayou, and her death has been ruled a homicide. Local news outlets reported that an autopsy on Horn discovered that she from βcompressionβ to the neck.

βCharges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a woman found at 1900 Nance Street about 5:40 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 5). The suspect, Shania Laneice Turner, 24, is charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detectives K. Stringer and A. Her sister, Rokeisha Calton, told Fox 26 Houston that Hornβs cell phone placed her at Turnerβs house and was one of her final locations. βThey had a second address pinged in Fifth Ward... So basically someone was traveling with the phone, because she was found the next day,β she stated.
Turnerβs bond was set by a judge for $100,000. It remains unknown if Turner has retained a lawyer to speak on her behalf. It is also unclear if she has entered a plea. Calton is devastated at the violent loss of her sister and wants justice to be served.
βI want them to pay for what they did,β she said.
