2024 GLAAD Media Awards: ‘Rustin,’ ‘American Fiction’ Lead Black Nominees

Janelle Monae, ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce’ are among the Black projects and artists nominated at the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

The 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards feature an eclectic group of nominees celebrating positive presentations of the LGBTQ+ community in film, television, journalism, comic books and graphic novels. In addition to critically acclaimed movies like “American Fiction” and “Rustin,” TV series including “Harlem,” “Black Cake” and “Fellow Travelers” also received nods. You can see the full list of nominees at GLAAD’s website, but we’re highlighting some of the notable Black artists and projects that are in the running.
