Karens have a special gift that gives just one thing: making Black folks’ business about them. They could sweep the Oscars and Emmys for the lengths they go to get an innocent Black person in trouble for just existing while Black.

You can’t enjoy a trip to your favorite theme park, buy a Starbucks drink, board a plane or even feed the homeless without one of them spawning into a racist or ignorant tantrum. Some of them even end up in handcuffs when they let their tirade escalate into acts of violence or other criminal behavior.
Fortunately, the updated technology of video recording has allowed us to capture all of their foolishness for our own receipts. While most scenes are laughable, many incidents are downright despicable.

San Diego Karen
A Feed the Homeless event hosted by a Black woman was rudely interrupted by a Karen who appeared to be calling the police from behind the gate she peered from, per a video posted to X. Later in the clip, the organizer is shown talking to police officers with the Karen.
“We could have had a conversation had you stepped to the side and waited a moment like I asked you to. But now, there’s no conversation to be had. She’s disrespectful,” the woman said in the video. In the end, the cops declared she was not in the wrong by helping the homeless and left the scene as the Karen was left frustrated.
Movie Theater Karen
You can count on a Karen to make a scene in the middle of a movie theater. In this situation a white Connecticut woman caused a ruckus in a Cinemark because a Black boy accidentally sat in her seat. A video captured by the boy’s mother showed the Karen barking at them in anger and lunging her hands toward them as she tried to change seats.
Though, that wasn’t enough for the Karen and the argument spilled outside, another video shows. Police responded to the theater and charged the Karen with disorderly conduct and public disturbance. SMH: ruined “Despicable Me 4″ for everyone.
Bat-Swinging Karen
The mugshot says it all. This Indiana Karen had the cops called on her after she allegedly swung on her Black pregnant neighbor with a baseball bat. The victim told police the dispute was a result of some kids playing on the yard. The Karen came stomping outside yelling racial slurs before going in her house and coming back out swinging the bat.
The Karen, identified as Angela Canaday, was charged with battery resulting in bodily injury to a pregnant woman and intimidation, police said.
Pack of Wild Karens
A viral video caught not one, not two, but an alleged gang of Karens gang up on an innocent Burger King worker in Chappell Hill, Texas. The witness explained in the video he entered the store to grab a mobile order and noticed the group of Karens giving the employee hell. The women had beef because he allegedly told one of them they needed to go on a diet. Despite denying making the snark comment, the Karens kept at him, the video showed.
The Karens then directed their attention to the TikTok user as he recorded. Seeing the camera on them appeared to de-escalate their tirade and the women eventually walked out.
Anti-Kamala Karen
Russell Valleau, a 61-year-old Farmington Hills, Mich. resident, was alleged to have received a flyer from Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign. However, according to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, he spat at his Black mailwoman that he didn’t want that “Black bitch” in his mailbox.
Prosecutors say Valleau then targeted the mail carrier and began yelling racist slurs at the woman, calling her a “Black bitch.” Prosecutors also claim the man lunged toward the mailwoman with a knife. Valleau was charged with one count of ethnic intimidation, a felony, and one count of assault and battery, a misdemeanor.
Detroit Judge Karen
Oakland County Probate Judge Kathleen Ryan was exposed after being secretly recorded saying a slew of racist and homophobic remarks behind closed doors. In one recording, she told a gay colleague to “put that in your f***** a** and stuff it,” according to Detroit Free Press. Ryan also accused the man of being “more concerned about the f***** AIDS vaccinations.”
Then, in another recording, she went on to say, “if you’re an American Black person, then you’re a f****** lazy piece of s***.” Following the release of the recordings, the judge was removed from her docket. Good riddance.
Florida Karen Gang
A viral video showed a Black teen recording himself as he walked around his Florida neighborhood. One white man appeared in frame with his hands on his hips asking the teen (in typical Karen voice), “What’s goin’ on buddy?” Behind him was a white vehicle parked with the driver door open. Two more white men, one slowly riding a bike, also appeared to be alongside the teen.
The men began taunting the teen, accusing him of not living in the area and trespassing on private property. One of them even accused him of harassment and nearly pulled a gun on the teen. It’s unclear how the matter concluded but what we do know is that one of the Karens, identified as Stephen Carega, was terminated by his work place after his face was spotted in the viral video.
Washington Karen
Sweet justice. This Karen called the cops to report a teenager allegedly pushed her. However, when the cops pulled up, KING 5 News reports the teens gave them a different story. The kids said the woman, Jennifer Vincent, approached them at the park and began shouting racist, derogatory insults at them.
Vincent then allegedly got in one of the teen’s faces and shoved him. In response, he pushed her back. Then, there came the white woman tears. Police ended up arresting the Karen on harassment and assault charges. She got herself injured by trying to resist the cops, the report said.
Ohio Cop Karen
Clark County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant John Rogers went on an unprovoked Facebook rant declaring he would only lend his law enforcement duties to those who voted Republican, per WHIO-TV.
“I am sorry. If you support the Democrat Party I will not help you. The problem is that I know which of you supports the Democratic Party and I will not help you survive the end of days,” read one post.
As a result, the department gave him a written reprimand for violating their social media policy. However, he kept his gig, using sleeping pills as the excuse for his Facebook tirade.
Bethenny “Karen” Frankel
The “Real Housewives of New York City” star shared her views on why she believed Vice President Kamala Harris lost the election (which no one asked her for) in a small Karen rant on social media.
“This was the most divisive election that I can recall in my lifetime, the stakes felt so high on both sides, people couldn’t have an opinion. I genuinely did not think that aligning with celebrities is and was a good idea. I don’t think that the American public, by in large, cares about whose hobnobbing with celebrities,” she said in an Instagram video.
Of course Harris supporters didn’t take her comments lightly. Previously, TikTok users accused her of being racist after going after Meghan Markle and of being a hypocrite for demanding protections for creators while belittling smaller ones. Frankel also sent a cease-and-desist to one creator who called her out on her bullsh*t. It seems like Frankel’s fury is only just beginning. Her behavior goes beyond a petty IG rant.
Pumpkin Karen
When Andrea Ouellette was still on the loose, she was accused of throwing a pumpkin at a Black man while calling him a racial slur, leaving him with a broken nose. She also allegedly tried to attack another Black woman minding her Black business. This wild behavior got her in handcuffs and a Class D crime, per Bangor Dailey News. See ya in court, Karen.
Anti-Black Names Karen
Now this Planned Parenthood Karen actually took things up a notch from harassing clients about abortions as they walked inside the clinic. Instead, she embarked on a completely ignorant and uneducated vent about how cruel it is that Black parents choose named for their children that will never get spelled or pronounced right.
Someone was nice enough to explain why that is (slavery) but let’s be real, she wasn’t in the mood for education.
Rock-Throwing Karens
Two white men targeted a 16-year-old Black boy driving around the same neighborhood where Travyon Martin was killed, per NewsOne. The teen took a video of the incident, capturing the two curse at him for allegedly speeding down the street.
The teen stopped to record after one of them threw a large rock into his window and tried to slam a traffic cone against his door. Fellow white neighbors gathered around the teen as he recorded, yelling in the background that he didn’t belong in the neighborhood.
The two men ended up charged with misdemeanor battery and criminal mischief
Florida Neighborhood Karen
Susan Lorincz was accused by the residents of Ocala, Fla. of terrorizing their neighborhood and children. For some reason, this lady just had it out for the youngins. Lorincz was accused of consistently harassing children, yelling at them while they played in the street, flicking them off and insulting them.
The grand finale of her Karen tirade resulted in the death of Ajike Owens. Owens walked over to her apartment to address allegations that Lorincz threw objects at her children and spewed racial slurs. In response, Lorincz shot at Owens from behind the front door, fatally injuring her. She’s now facing criminal charges.
Bug Spray Karen
This NJ neighborhood Karen, identified as a former councilman, called 911 on a 9-year-old Black girl who was trying to save her environment. Local papers applauded her efforts, detailing how she used a home-made solution to spray on trees and lawns to help get rid of the invasive lantern flies.
However, her neighbor wasn’t so supportive and gave the police a threatening description as if she was doing something illegal. When the police responded, she was visibly frightened and has since been afraid of going outside following the incident. The Karen could be facing a lawsuit.
