On a makeshift tennis court outside the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, late-night talk show host David Letterman and Serena Williams, one of the world’s top tennis players, decided to get in a quick game yesterday.

The pair didn’t even change into tennis gear. Letterman merely ditched his sport coat and played in dress slacks and a dress shirt, while Williams didn’t pass up the challenge, even though she was dressed in a long, formfitting skirt, midriff top and stilettos.
After being run ragged, a sweaty Letterman called the game and decided they should take aim at another target. Watch the clip below:
