Bianca gave up a music scholarship to Howard University to pursue a degree in chemical engineering and is hard at work bringing practical solutions to the clean-water crisis in the developing world. As a member and president of Howard's chapter of Engineers Without Borders, Bianca has traveled to Nairobi, where she and her team helped train communities to create bio filters to clean water. Her work has won her praise from the White House, which recently named her a Champion of Change for Women and Girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). "I want to use my engineering to help people lead a better life," she says.
