The iPhone 3GS is great for a lot of things: Staying connected with friends, checking your e-mail, flipping through your music library, playing games and, maybe most impressively, taking pictures. While the 2-mega-pixel camera in the iPhone 2G and 3G left plenty to be desired, the 3-mega-pixel camera on the latest iPhone is something to see. Throw in a bunch of free apps from Apple’s App Store, including Camera Zoom and Camera Flash, and you can not only take photos that stand up to those taken on digital cameras—you can actually catch flicks that you can use later on Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, Tumblr and any number of other photo-sharing sites. (Seriously, how many of those photos on your other cameras actually get downloaded or printed?)

Adobe recently released Photoshop for the iPhone, and while it’s not much different from all of the other photo-editing apps available through The App Store, it does win in one category: Ease of use. With the flick of a finger, you can take the images stored on your iPhone and crop them, add tint, adjust the exposure used and otherwise edit them. Plus, Adobe is releasing Photoshop for free in the App Store. So while the pictures on your phone may be worth a thousands words, it won’t cost you anything to do what you want to them. Say cheese!
