After working as a volunteer for Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential run, Valeisha Butterfield-Jones was subsequently hired by the campaign. She eventually rose to become national youth-vote director for Obama for America and is responsible for bringing in a key voting bloc for his current reelection efforts. In addition, Butterfield-Jones is the founder and chair of the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network. As half of a power couple (her husband is NBA star Dahntay Jones), she was recently featured in Glamour magazine for exemplifying the embodiment of winning strategies at the office. In addition, Essence magazine recognized her in 2010 among its list of the top 40 executives under 40.
