After working as a volunteer for Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential run, Valeisha Butterfield-Jones was subsequently hired by the campaign. She eventually rose to become national youth-vote director for Obama for America and is responsible for bringing in a key voting bloc for his current reelection efforts. In addition, Butterfield-Jones is the founder and chair of the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network.
