In the 1990s as Def Jam Music Group CEO, Kevin Liles raised revenue to $400 million by diversifying into movies, TV and video games. He helped Jay-Z, Ludacris and Kanye West go global and was later executive vice president at Warner Music Group. Stepping out on his own, Liles founded KWL Enterprises, an artist-management firm. His philanthropies include the Kevin Liles for a Better Baltimore Foundation and a summer business academy for high schoolers held at his alma mater, Morgan State University.
