Bio
Firmly grounded in his Caribbean and Louisiana roots, the Rev. Yearwood, or simply "Rev," is a community organizer and political leader of the Hip Hop Caucus. Rev is helping to engage the next generation of urban youth in elections, policymaking and community service. He is renowned for directing national award-winning campaigns on Hurricane Katrina relief, climate and clean-energy-jobs policy, and civic engagement. He co-created the 2004 campaign "Vote or Die" with Sean "Diddy" Combs. In 2008 he created "Respect My Vote!" a voter registration and education campaign, with T.I. and Keyshia Cole.
