Shomari puts compassion into fashion. Through her jewelry business, Shamazzle's Dazzles, the young entrepreneur and recent high school graduate is making a difference by empowering young girls trapped in the sex trade. For every piece of jewelry she sells, Shomari donates a "jewelry compassion kit" to a home in Thailand for girls who were victims of human trafficking. The kit contains everything needed to create jewelry the girls can sell to support themselves. The idea is to "teach someone to actually create their own business so you're not giving them handouts -- you're actually giving them a way to empower themselves," Shomari says.
