Favorite quote: "If you keep fighting progress, you're gonna find yourself on the wrong side of history." --Mike Epps as Willie Earl in Jumping the Broom
Adam was 11 when he and his 10-year-old brother, Jonathan, decided to start a business to help their family send their younger sister to private school. They valued their own private school education and wanted the same for their sister. The brothers loved eating frozen shaved ice and decided to start a business selling it. With a $3,000 investment from their parents, the boys launched AJ's Hawaiian Iceez [8]. The business generated $30,000 in sales in 2009 and saw a 33 percent jump in sales to $40,000 in 2010, Adam says. He hopes to franchise one day. "You can't focus on shortcomings or failures because they are only temporary."
