What's that saying about a barrel of crabs? Why do we always pull each other back? I really think this man wants his 15 minutes of fame, he needs to find another stage to get it.

During the discussion both JW and MHL asked why McCain and Clinton have almost no black supporters. The reason for this they claim is that neither Clinton nor McCain has done enough to try to draw more blacks into their bases. I think JW and MHL should open their eyes to who the real racists are. Over 90% of black Americans who have voted in this primary voted for Obama and yet you have the audacity to blame McCain and Clinton for not having a lot of black people supporting them.. Gee, I wonder why that is? If 90% of white voters had voted for McCain or Clinton you would be screaming racism from the tallest mountain.

If Clinton is not nominated do you think women will riot? Can you say the same about the "black community" if Obama is not nominated and/or elected as President? Until all of the hyphenated Americans (African-American, Mexican-American, etc.) decide to drop the hyphenation and just be Americans there is no "moving forward"..

Watching Rev. Wright on Sunday was like watching a train wreck. It was horrible to hear him mock past leaders (as well as the dead) but I could not turn the channel. And I heard Monday's comments were worse! Wright is the worst traitor, because Barack has sacrificed his good name to remain in Wright's life. The game has changed now. A true friend would never turn on his friend or threaten him even in the worst of fights, and so I really think that Rev. Wright is mentally deficient, immature, and possibly toxic, bipolar, or narcissistic. Either way, Barack has never said any hateful things out of his own mouth, and I believe him when he says that he has never seen that side of Wright. Maya A. said when people show you who they are the first time believe them. So, why is SHE supporting Hillary who told blatant lies about her past? I saw a woman flip on her "friend" and unleash a character assassination, and it shocked me so much to see the "Three faces of Eve". God will judge us all, and Barack will come out on top because he tried to forgive Wright. Wright has never learned to forgive America for her injustices. It is sad to watch a Black man as book smart as Rev. Wright self destruct.

If democrats votes for hillary instead of obama because of rev. wright???s comments then shame on democrats, If mccain wins because he???s facing hillary instead of obama because of rev wrights comments then shame on america for allowing big business to win overall once again and for allowing this ongoing war with Iraq to continue to send our sons and daughters home in body bags???

Many seem to forget that Wright didn't go seeking the media. The media brought him out via YouTube and other online sources by airing those sound bytes and snippets of his sermons. Was he not supposed to respond to restore his character and seek to explain who is is and what he espouses? As "outspoken" and "controversial" as many have made him to be, I am surprised he waited as long as he did to address this issue. Few can get beyond the way in which he is talking to understand what he is talking about and why. So many people have been looking for something "negative" to attach Sen. Obama to tarnish his stellar and above board campaign efforts and found Rev. Wright. Rev. Wright is not running for office nor is he like King, who was head of some larger movement or organization; Rev. Wright is not even head of the church to which he belongs (UCC). Why we pay so much attention to Rev. Wright and not to the real issues that face America baffles me. Sen. Obama's campaign sought to elevate our intellect to pursue better more responsible ways of conducting national political campaigns. Yet we somehow would rather engage in the kind of politics that continues to harm our democracy-- lies, distortions, and sound bytes of the most inflammatory nature.... And this from a nation that others hold in esteem as an example of fairness, justice and liberty for all. ANd when did YouTube become a mainstream, legitimate source of news reporting???

I am so disappointed with Rev Wright. Can he see the big picture. Barrack can help so many folks. He may win the nomination but he may be damaged. Thanks for nothing Rev Wright.

I am very disapponted in Rev. Wright and I have concerns about the power of the black church; this is why I'm spirtual but not religious. I have supported Barack and I hope that the Rev's outtakes don't hurt him.

I thought Wright speaking for himself could be helpful in allowing people to see the man as opposed to the media's caricature. Of his media tour this weekend I only saw the Bill Moyers piece.

I think the best way to handle Wright is to cast this kind of guilt by association nonsense as part of what's wrong with politics today and why we need the change Obama is calling for. I think we have to decry the media's focus on flag pin accessories, guilt by association, bowling scores, whiskey shots and distorted interpetations of what someone has said.

What passes for political debate in American culture is a serious threat to our "democracy." Informed citizens are essential to an effective democracy. Our politics today is designed to distract from the issues rather than inform.

Rev. Wright ain't running for nothing but his story is clearly sucking up all the oxygen in the room.

For what its worth... while we still talk about the Clinton sex scandals 8 years later (16 years after he hit the national scene), nobody is going to be talking about Wright 16 years from now. Unless, of course Obama loses the election.

Are the attacks on Rev Wright really about his relationship to Obama or do they have more to do with white america's continued denial and unwillingness to come to grips with the many atrocities this country has committed, not only on these shores (the annilination of the American Indians and the enslavement and disenfranchisement of blacks for centuries, to name a couple) but also abroad (unjust war in Iraq) ? In my view it's the latter. White america in generally is more comfortable living with myths and lies than facing the truth...read any history book.
